I knew there was little information on OT in hospice and needed to find an avenue to increase awareness.

My name is Jillian and I am a 37 year old Occupational Therapist. I have been working with the older adult population for 13 years now and love hearing their stories and using it to help them achieve their goals. I have worked in subacute settings, assisted livings, independent living facilities and in the homes. I started research on the importance of OT in Hospice in 2010 and used it as a pathway to obtain my Doctorate in 2016. If I can make a patient reach a little further, dress a little safer, or stand a little longer to cook a bigger meal then I have accomplished something each day and can go home with a smile.
