Lydia Wilson graduated from OT school in 2013 from the State University of New York at Buffalo and has been passionately pursuing this incredible profession ever since. Lydia took off to Africa right after graduating, where she lived among people in mud huts on the edge of the Sahara Desert while working in a hospital there, treating severe burns, tuberculosis, cerebral malaria and even doing some lactation consulting, all of which was done in two languages that were not English! She also had the opportunity to travel for a short term trip to China, completing developmental assessments on children in several orphanages there, working with a few pediatricians. Now, Lydia lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma and fills her days driving home to home in all sorts of weather to bring home care OT to patients with dementia, joint replacements, stroke, cancer and many other diagnoses. Lydia is passionate about what she does and strives to continue to become a better therapist in the coming years.
